NSW Explores Collaboration with Japan-Taiwan Cybersecurity Companies

— Toward Enhanced Security for NSW's Semiconductor Development Environment and Semiconductor Design Services, and the Proposal of Safe, Trusted Services —

Net Peace Inc. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yuki Furutate; hereinafter "NP") announces that, effective October 15, 2025, NP, NSW Inc. (Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shoji Tada; hereinafter "NSW"), and KeyXentic Inc. (Head Office: Taipei, Taiwan; CEO: Sean Hung; hereinafter "KX") — the provider of the information security service "Keyper" — have jointly commenced discussions on collaboration to enhance security through multi-factor authentication and passwordless authentication.

Through this collaboration, by strengthening authentication and security infrastructure for NSW's semiconductor development environment and semiconductor design services, the parties aim to establish and propose development environments and services with an enhanced level of user security. As the authorized distributor of KX products in Japan, NP will support the realization of advanced security infrastructure in the Japanese market through the provision and implementation support of Keyper.

Background

Taiwan's geopolitical situation is similar to Japan's, and like Japan, it faces an extremely high volume of cyberattacks from neighboring countries*1*2. In Taiwan, the government proactively sets security policy rules and actively supports the establishment, development, and expansion of cybersecurity companies. As a result, many organizations have moved away from conventional security measures toward services aligned with the Zero Trust framework — a security model suited to today's working practices.

As global interest in security grows, Japan faces a serious shortage of security professionals*3, and rapidly developing this talent pool is difficult. There is therefore a growing need to leverage proven, user-friendly tools and services to implement efficient and timely security measures — which is the background that led to the initiation of this collaboration.

※ Zero Trust: Unlike traditional perimeter-based security (which assumes that access from inside the corporate network is inherently safe), Zero Trust operates on the principle of never trusting any user or device without continuous verification. Even after verification, access rights granted are "minimal" — meaning access to systems or applications outside one's authorized scope (e.g., another department's system) is not permitted.

What Is Keyper?

Keyper is a passwordless authentication platform developed based on the Zero Trust framework. Once installed on a server, it enables secure identity verification without passwords — supporting a variety of authentication methods tailored to the customer's environment, including FIDO-based biometric authentication, TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password), NFC-equipped hardware tokens, and QR code authentication. It also consolidates login credentials managed separately across multiple systems into a single unified operation (SSO), delivering operational cost savings as well. Keyper can also be applied to Windows logon and similar use cases.

■ Key Features

  1. Supports identity verification through a variety of non-password authentication methods using both hardware and software.
  2. Provides multiple modules to accommodate flexible implementation across different customer environments.

■ Deployment Track Record

Taiwan market: Financial institutions, government agencies, military organizations, and semiconductor-related companies.
